It was training in the sun today as the first team squad returned to Cobham as preparations begin for our final Premier League game of the season.

After a bank holiday win at Newcastle on Monday, the players had a day off to rest before getting back into action today as we ready ourselves for the visit of Bolton at the weekend.

Following a thorough warm up and stretch, the players took part in some agility and fitness training, with each shuttle run ending in a shot at goal.

Next up, the group split into two teams, and played a possession game with a small goal in each corner, the aim being to switch the direction of play quickly and score in an undefended goal.

Before the session's end, there was time for a more conventional small-sided game, with full size goals and a goalkeeper involved. Petr Cech impressed, but couldn't prevent Frank Lampard, at his goal scoring best, finding the net on more than one occasion.

With the Bolton game not until Sunday, there are still three more days of preparation for Avram Grant and his staff to get the team in the best possible shape to secure three points, which would ensure Manchester United must beat Wigan at the JJB.

Sunday is the first time you will be able to see the new 2008/9 home kit in action. You can order yours here now.
