Chelsea new boy José Bosingwa has more to celebrate today as he has been named in the Portugal squad for Euro 2008, alongside new team-mates Paulo Ferreira and Ricardo Carvalho.

Coach Luis Felipe Scolari named his squad today, with all three defenders included for the tournament in Austria and Switzerland. The Portuguese will meet Czech Republic, the Swiss and Turkey in Group B.

Both Ferreira and Carvalho played in their country's 1-0 defeat to Greece in the final of Euro 2004 four years ago, with Ferreira a first-half substitute for the injured Miguel.

One surprise from Scolari's announcement was the exclusion of Maniche, who spent half a season at Stamford Bridge in early 2006.
