Ricardo Carvalho insists we have to win the Champions League this season, and that there is far more expectation on us than there was on his successful Porto side in 2004.

The Portuguese defender was a key member of José Mourinho's side that beat Monaco 3-0 in Gelsenkirchen, and he recognises the pressure on he and his team-mates to claim some silverware this season.

'We have bigger players here than that time and we have to try to get the Cup for Chelsea. Everyone has known each other here for a long time and we enjoy each other's company,' Carvalho began.

'We have to try to win this last game. We didn't win the Premier League so we have to get a medal.

'At Porto, nobody expected for us to win the Champions League, but now everyone says that Chelsea has to win this Cup. We have big players, and it is important for us. Every season I think we are getting stronger and we have a strong, compact team. I hope in the last game we will show that and show our experience.'

Carvalho, who was voted Players' Player of the Year at the club this season, is back in full training and expects to be fully fit by the time we touch down in Moscow.

'It was my first training and I have two or three days to improve a little bit more to be 100 percent.

'You can't ask more than for your team-mates to give you credit. It is a big honour, and it is important for me to see my work recognised.'

Carvalho's 2008/9 home kit is available at the Online Megastore now, where you can also get your hands on our limited edition Moscow Final range.
