>>A HERO Nelson Mandela because he always fought for the rights of other people, his people, and he completely changed the way people behave in South Africa. Now the country is more open and they're going to stage a World Cup - I think he's a big part of this transformation in the country and in Africa.

>>A GOOD CAUSE I'm working for the UN and there's a lot of things to achieve to reduce poverty, AIDS and other things but there's also a lot of things you can do to help the world. First of all in your house, where you have to teach your kids respect because they have to realise they're lucky to have the things they do.

>>A STARK REALITY I went for dinner in London after a Champions League game and I saw a man sleeping on the street with very little clothing. I had my bag with all my Chelsea things in, so I gave them to him to cover himself because he had nothing. You can be disappointed because you lose a football match sometimes, but then you see things like this and you realise there's more important things going on in life.

>>A COACH All of them have had a big influence on me in different ways, but the most important one was my coach when I first started playing football - Jean Trechet. He gave me the passion of playing, not winning or losing, but just playing and enjoying being with my friends - that was when I first moved to France.

>>FIRST TROPHY In my first year playing we won four tournaments playing seven against seven. In one final I scored a goal and
I was the captain so I was really proud. I was playing rightback because the striker was very good, but I scored goals like Belletti, coming forward and shooting!

>>I PLAYED AGAINST HIM When I was at Marseille I played against the Real Madrid 'Galacticos' in the Champions League. It's not just one player but four or five of them - Zidane, Ronaldo, Beckham, Raul and Figo - that was the best team I ever played against.

>>FIRST CAR It was an Italian car called an Autobianchi - it's small like a Mini but if you look for it on Google you will be shocked! (We did, and here it is below!)

>>A REASON TO BE PROUD It's that I come from a poor family - though not as poor as some - and I think my destiny was to become a footballer and do what I'm doing now. But when I started it wasn't easy - I left my parents to go to France and even stopped playing football for a while. It's a very different story to most players. Little things like that mean I'm proud to have been in the race to be Player of the Year in England and I'm proud to be a champion of England. But most of all, I'm proud to be loved by the fans, simply that.

>>I COULD HAVE BEEN A CONTENDER When I was a kid I wanted to become a doctor and help people and if I kept studying I could have acheived this.

>>GOAL OF THE MONTH Kalou's goal against Derby. It wasn't easy for him to score with the left foot as the ball was coming fast towards him, but he kept his self control and scored from a difficult distance.

>>SAVE OF THE MONTH Carlo from Andy Reid's free-kick against Sunderland last Saturday. For me, that should have gone in so it was a really good save.

>>MUG OF THE MONTH We went to do some kart racing and John Mikel Obi was driving like he was driving his Range Rover, like two miles per hour!
