>>A HERO I admire a lot of people but I don't have a hero as such. I like people who try to motivate people and help you get your life in order.

>>A GOOD CAUSE I have my own foundation in Peru - the Claudio Pizarro Foundation. I help people who are talented at sport but don't have the money to develop their game. I also help sick and disabled people in my country.

>>A STARK REALITY I fractured my skull when I was playing for Peru in the Copa America three or four years ago. During a game, I got an elbow in the side of my head and kept on playing. I ended up getting a red card 10 minutes later but the doctor said if I'd got another knock to the same spot I could have died. It made me think afterwards that life is important because at any moment something like that can happen to you.

>>FIRST GOAL I was playing in a provisional game for Deportivo Pesquero in the north of Peru but it was a long time ago.

>>FIRST TROPHY The league in Germany in 2002/03 for Bayern Munich. I won a few trophies when I was younger but this was my first as a professional.

>>I PLAYED WITH HIM Ze Roberto at Bayern Munich. He was fast, an incredible dribbler, tactically disciplined - a complete player. He was already 31 years old when I played with him but he was an excellent player.

>>FIRST CAR A Volkswagen Polo in Peru. I was 17 and it was the first car in my name - before that I drove my parents' car.

>>FIRST MISTAKE I used to escape from home when I had homework to play football in the park. When my father caught me it was not good! I could escape through the garden fence because I was so skinny and I did that a lot.

>>A REASON TO BE PROUD The things that I achieved until now in my career. I want to win more things, of course, because it's important for my confidence, but the things I have achieved already make me proud. My family make me proud as well, of course.

>>GOAL OF THE MONTH Joe Cole in the Carling Cup semi-final against Everton. It was an incredible goal, the way he stopped the ball in front of goal like that and then scored.

>>ASSIST OF THE MONTH Florent Malouda for the same goal - it was a really good goal and so important for us too.

>>MUG OF THE MONTH I know everybody says Billy McCulloch but that's because he's the guy who does silly things all the time!
