A cult hero among Chelsea fans, the likeable Juliano Belletti is as popular inside the club as he is outside.
A relaxed and friendly presence around Cobham, the Brazilian international is an important squad member, seen more frequently from the bench than he is from the start.
Signed as an attacking right-back by Jose Mourinho in August 2007, Juliano is now equally at home in the centre of midfield, a position where he made his name as a youngster in Brazil.
Mourinho lasted only a matter of weeks into Juliano's stay, but he quickly demonstrated his abilities during his first season in England with two stunning Premier League strikes - against Wigan and Tottenham - the latter of which won the Chelsea Goal of the Season award for 2007/08.
Signed from Barcelona for an undisclosed fee, the former Brazilian international faced tough competition from Paulo Ferreira and later Michael Essien to make the right-back berth his own.
A total of 38 (six as sub) appearances suggest he was the favoured choice for most of that season, particularly at Stamford Bridge.
It was as a sub that Juliano made his mark in the Champions League Final, replacing Claude Makelele in the last minute of extra time, before coolly slotting home a penalty in the shootout, his first touch, only to see the side lose out.
It denied him a repeat of 2006, where he had scored the winner for Barcelona in Paris.
The 33-year-old remains most famous for scoring that goal against Arsenal when he came on as a second-half substitute. It was his first goal for the Catalan club.
He had been signed by Frank Rijkaard in 2004 from Villarreal, having moved from his native Brazil to Spain two years earlier.
In his first season at Barça he played in both legs of the epic Champions League knockout tie between Chelsea and Barcelona when José Mourinho's side went through with a 4-2 second-leg win at Stamford Bridge.
In the first leg, Juliano had the misfortune to score an own-goal as his side won 2-1.
In addition to his Champions League winners' medal, he won two Spanish league titles and two Spanish Supercups during his time with Barcelona.
Following on from the signing of Alex, Juliano gave Chelsea two Brazilian international defenders in our squad. He has been capped 23 times by his country and has scored one goal at international level.
He began his career in his homeland with Cruzeiro where he spent two years before moving to Sao Paulo in 1995. He also spent a year on loan with Atlético MG between 1998-1999.
