Other Management Staff (medical)
Jason Palmer
Manager of Therapy Services. Joined the club in February 2008 to help oversee the medical department, managing the day-to-day running of the training ground operation in physiotherapy and massage therapies.
Australian, Jason hails from Brisbane, Queensland, and arrived in England in 2001, commencing work with our west London neighbours Fulham, where he stayed until joining us.
At Craven Cottage, he was head of the medical department, having previously worked with the Australian national team, with training completed in sports science, exercise physiology and physiotherapy.
Jason's skills are utilised primarily at Cobham, where he contributes both to the rehabilitation and performance sides of the medical department, helping out colleagues Thierry Laurent and Glen Driscoll when required, as well as specialising in the hydrotherapy pool.
With the team, and support staff, regularly away for days at a time, Jason is the leader of the unit back at Cobham, communicating and co-ordinating with club doctor Bryan English to ensure a smooth running of the medical team.
His work with injured players during this time provides a boost and helps return players to fitness quickly, utilising the state-of-the-art facilities available at Cobham.
Jason is also a regular face in the dugout at home games, combining with Glen Driscoll (the man you see run on to the field to treat injured players) to ensure all circumstances and eventualities are covered.
