The match will be played at the Estadio do Dragao which is in the east of the city of Oporto about 2 km from the city centre and about 17 km from the airport. It is a modern stadium, having been opened in 2003, with excellent facilities.

The capacity for Champions League matches is 51,000 with Chelsea supporters located in the North Stand (Bancada Norte) in blocks S22, S23 and S24 access for which is through Gate 21 (Wheelchair access is through Gate 22).

The nearest Metro station, called Estadio do Dragao, is at the stadium and is at the end of the Metro line (The green line) You must obtain your ticket before starting your journey, ticket machines are usually situated on the platforms and the tickets MUST be endorsed at a separate machine before commencing your journey. Ticket inspectors travel on the trains and on the spot fines are imposed for anyone not in possession of an endorsed ticket.

The stadium will open at 5.45pm and you are advised to arrive at the stadium at least one hour before kick off.

Spectators will be searched on arrival and all the usual items are prohibited - smoke bombs, fireworks, glass bottles, large flagpoles, large banners, umbrellas, knives, cameras (small cameras are allowed) etc. There are luggage deposit points adjacent to the entry points of the stadium.

Any person attempting to enter the stadium whilst drunk will be arrested and, as with all UEFA matches, alcohol is banned from the stadium.

At the end of the match Chelsea supporters can expect to be kept back for about 20 minutes.
