Dujon Sterling is a north London boy who came through the development centre programme. He is a defensive player with attacking qualities and played in a number of positions throughout the team during his schoolboy years.

As an Under-16, he was an FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League winner, scoring three goals including in the 2016 Youth Cup final. He repeated that achievement with goals in both the Youth Cup semi-final and final the following season, although he spent much of the campaign with the development squad, utilising his speed, power and adaptability to feature as wing-back, winger and central midfielder as well as full-back.

Sterling capped an impressive debut season as a scholar by helping England to triumph at the Under-19 European Championship. Two months later, he made his first team debut as a substitute in a League Cup tie against Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge. In November 2017, he signed a new contract commiting him to the club until the end of the 2021/22 season.
