Chelsea Rewards Closure T&Cs
Chelsea Rewards points balances tripled based on active points as at 10am BDT Monday 24 April 2017.
Points can be earned and redeemed until 30 June 2017 at paricipating locations including:
- The Chelsea Megastore at Stamford Bridge (including mail orders).
- Chelsea Heath Club & Spa (Spa treatments only)
- Millennium and Copthorne hotels at Stamford Bridge (excluding matchdays)
- Stamford Bridge stadium tour (excluding on match days)
- The Chelsea FC Online Megastore (UK and Europe only) – simply enter your 14 digit Chelsea Rewards TeamCard number at the checkout
Transaction discount based on £1 off your purchase for every 100 points redeemed.
Additionally, points can be redeemed only at the Stamford Bridge Megastore until 31 July 2017.
The Chelsea Rewards TeamCard scheme will close 11:59pm BDT on Monday 31 July 2017, after which all unused points will expire.
Chelsea Rewards Terms and Conditions
1 about these terms and conditions
1.1 Chelsea FC’s loyalty and rewards programme ("Chelsea Rewards") is operated by Chelsea FC plc (company number 02536231) whose registered address is Stamford Bridge, Fulham Road, London, SW6 1HS ("we", "us", or the "Club").
1.2 Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By using Chelsea Rewards you agree to use Chelsea Rewards lawfully and in accordance with these terms and conditions and the Club’s reasonable instructions from time to time.
2 REGISTERING TO USE Chelsea Rewards
2.1 In order to access Chelsea Rewards you must register a Fan Club account online via www.chelseafc.com. Your participation in the programme may be refused at the sole discretion of the Club.
2.2 If you are a resident of a country other than the United Kingdom you must not use Chelsea Rewards if use of Chelsea Rewards would contravene any local, national or international law. In any event, the Club may limit or prohibit access to certain discounts, special offers and other benefits of Chelsea Rewards and/or limit or prohibit access to Chelsea Rewards in its entirety to residents from certain jurisdictions from time to time.
2.3 It is your responsibility to ensure that any information you provide to us is complete, accurate and that it remains up to date.
2.4 You may only register one Chelsea Rewards account. If you register more than one Chelsea Rewards account, the Club may cancel one account or merge the two accounts into one account at its sole discretion.
2.5 All Chelsea Rewards cards (if issued) remain the property of the Club. The Club reserves the right to require the immediate return of your Chelsea Rewards card (if issued) at any time.
3 earning Chelsea Rewards points
3.1 You are entitled to earn and collect Chelsea Reward points in the amount and manner detailed on www.chelseafc.com/rewards or otherwise notified to you by us in our authorised communications from time to time.
3.2 The Chelsea Reward points you have earned will be recorded against your Club Rewards account.
3.3 The Club may withdraw or alter any Chelsea Reward points offers and promotions at any time without notice to you.
3.4 The Club is not responsible for any changes to, or discontinuance of, any opportunity to earn points which is provided by a third party or if a third party communicates inaccurate information about Club Rewards earned.
3.5 If you have earned Club Reward points by purchasing goods and services, your Club Rewards points cannot be redeemed for Rewards until the participating company, from whom the points were earned, has received payment in full, even if those points appear in your account information before that time.
3.6 You are responsible for assessing if any personal tax liability will arise from your receipt or redemption of Club Reward points and for making all necessary disclosures and payments in respect of any such taxes.
3.7 We may from time to time adjust your points up or down if we discover accounting errors or to account for non-payment from or to third parties, products returned, refunds issued, or suspected fraud.
4 redeeming Chelsea Rewards points
4.1 Chelsea Reward points may be redeemed against goods, services, discounts, privileges, or other rewards ("Rewards") from the Club and other retailers participating in the Chelsea Rewards programme.
4.2 Chelsea Rewards points have no cash value; they can only be redeemed against Rewards and cannot be used for any other purpose. The value of the points is determined by the Club in its sole discretion, and may be altered by the Club from time to time.
4.3 Chelsea Rewards points must not be exchanged, transferred, bartered or sold.
4.4 Chelsea Rewards points may only be used by you (as the registered account holder) and not by any other person.
4.5 Chelsea Reward points which have not been earned in accordance with these terms and conditions shall be invalid.
4.6 The Club may withdraw or substitute Rewards for which points can be earned or redeemed at any time without notice to you.
4.7 You must have enough accrued and fully paid for points to pay in full for the cost of the relevant Reward. You cannot use points to make part payment towards a Reward unless expressly stated otherwise by the Club on its website.
4.8 The Club is not responsible for any changes to, or discontinuance of, any opportunity to redeem points on any Reward which is provided by a third party.
4.9 Points earned through online interaction with the website cannot be spent on the following items: Season tickets, match tickets, memberships, or any other products or services which we notify you of from time to time in writing.
4.10 The Chelsea Rewards programme operates on yearly cycles commencing on 1st July and ending on 30th June (each a "Year"). At the end of each Year you will have a period of three months (until 30th September) to redeem the Chelsea Rewards points which you have accrued during the preceding Year, after which your Chelsea Rewards points shall expire.
5 OTHER APPLICABLE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
5.1 These terms and conditions apply to your use of the Chelsea Rewards programme only and not to the products which you have purchased using your points. If you have a problem with any product which you have purchased using your points you agree to seek a remedy from the participating company from which you purchased the product (this may be the Club or a third party). Nothing in this clause 5.1 affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
5.2 The Club may from time to time offer discounts, special offers and other benefits to participants of Chelsea Rewards (including without limitation opportunities to earn and spend points), these offers are provided at the Club’s sole discretion, and may be subject to separate or additional terms and conditions which we will notify you of at the time that the discount, special offer or other benefit is made available to you. Without limitation, the Club may limit or prohibit access to certain discounts, special offers and other benefits to residents of certain jurisdictions from time to time.
5.3 If these terms and conditions conflict with any special terms which we notify you of in respect of a purchase, discount, special offer or other benefit, the special terms will take priority over these terms and conditions.
6 Data protection
6.1 Any personal data which you provide to the Club from time to time in connection with Chelsea Rewards:
(a) may be used by the Club to administer your Chelsea Rewards account and provide you with the assistance and services you request; and
7.1 Please ensure that you keep your Chelsea Rewards card (if issued) secure as you shall at all times remain responsible for the use of your Chelsea Rewards card (if issued) and the activity on your Chelsea Rewards account, whether or not the activity was authorised by you.
7.2 If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.
7.3 You must immediately notify us at email@example.com if you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your user identification code or password and provide the Club with any information which we may reasonably require to verify your identity or deactivate, suspend, or cancel your Chelsea Rewards account.
7.4 We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of these terms and conditions.
7.5 You will, at the request of the Club, provide the Club, the police or any authorised body with such co-operation as they may reasonably require in order to investigate any suspected fraud, illegal or unlawful activity in connection with your Chelsea Rewards account.
8 our rights of termination, cancellation or to refuse a transaction
8.1 Without prejudice to any other rights of the Club, the Club may (without giving you prior notice) terminate its agreement with you, cancel or suspend your Chelsea Rewards account, or refuse a transaction if it has reason to believe that you have abused Chelsea Rewards or have used the Chelsea Rewards fraudulently, illegally, unlawfully or in breach of these terms and conditions. If your account is terminated in the circumstances set out in this clause 8.1, all accrued Chelsea Rewards points will be forfeited.
8.2 The Club may terminate this agreement and cancel your Chelsea Rewards account at any time, by giving you written notice, in which case we will give you thirty (30) days from the date of the written notice to redeem your points, after which all remaining Chelsea Rewards points will expire.
9 OUR LIABILITY TO YOU
(a) death or personal injury caused by its negligence;
(b) fraudulent misrepresentation; or
(c) any other type of liability which cannot by law be excluded or limited.
9.2 Subject to clause 9.4, the Club is responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms and condition or our negligence. However, the Club is not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable (except as set out in clause 9.1). Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence of our breach or if it is contemplated by you and us at the time we entered into this contract.
9.3 Chelsea Rewards are for your domestic and private use only. You agree not to use Chelsea Rewards for any commercial, business or re-sale purpose, and (except as set out in clause 9.1) we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
9.4 Subject to clause 9.1, the Club’s maximum liability to you under or in connection with these terms and conditions and in relation to the Chelsea Rewards programme, whether such liability arises in contract, tort (including without limitation negligence) or otherwise, shall not in aggregate exceed £100 (one hundred pounds sterling) in any period of twelve (12) months.
(a) your use of Chelsea Rewards will be uninterrupted or error free;
(b) the Chelsea Rewards programme will always be available; or
(c) participating companies will always accept your Chelsea Rewards card or points as a method of payment.
10 amendments to these terms and conditions
10.1 The Club may change these terms and conditions from time to time by posting an amended version on http://www.chelseafc.com/ in the following circumstances:
(a) to reflect changes or expected changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements;
(b) to reflect any ruling by a court, regulator or any other similar body having authority over the Club;
(c) to make these terms clearer or fairer;
(d) to reflect changes and developments in how we operate our business;
(e) to rectify any error which we may discover at a later date; or
(f) to reflect changes in market conditions or standard industry practice.
10.2 Please check our website from time to time to take notice of any changes we may have made, as your continued use of Chelsea Rewards after these terms and conditions are amended shall mean that you agree to be bound by such changes.
11.1 The invalidity or partial invalidity of any provision of these terms and conditions shall not prejudice or affect the remainder of these terms and conditions, which shall continue in full force and effect.
11.2 If any invalid, unenforceable or illegal provision of these terms and conditions would be valid, enforceable and legal if some part of it were deleted, the provision shall apply with the minimum modification necessary to make it legal, valid and enforceable.
11.3 The Club’s failure to exercise, or delay in exercising, any right, power or remedy provided by these terms and conditions or by law shall not constitute a waiver of that right, power or remedy.
11.4 These terms and conditions and the documents referred to in it, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Club in relation to Chelsea Rewards and supersede any previous agreement or arrangement between the parties relating to Chelsea Rewards.
11.5 Subject to clause 9.1, the parties agree that they have not entered into this agreement in reliance upon any statement, representation, covenant, warranty, undertaking or understanding (whether negligently or innocently made) of any person (whether party to this agreement or not) except as expressly set out in this agreement.
11.6 No other person, other than you or the Club, shall have any right to enforce these terms and conditions pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise.
11.7 The Club may assign its rights and benefits at any time without prior written notice to you. The Club may subcontract any of its obligations under this agreement.
11.8 These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The parties hereby submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales (including in relation to any non-contractual disputes or claims).
