Aziz Deen-Conteh

Chelsea
Born in Sierra Leone on 14 January 1993, and entering the Chelsea Academy as a 13-year-old, Aziz is an inner-city boy who grew up in Deptford.

Left-sided, he has played mainly at left-back but also on the wing, having arrived at the club as a forward.

Strong and powerful and a good crosser of the ball, he played for England U16s and scored once for the Chelsea youth team as aschoolboy.

In his first full-time year he made a starting place his own during the run to the FA Youth Cup triumph and put in some outstanding displays of attacking full-back play.

At the beginning of the 2010/11 campaign, Aziz began playing for Chelsea Reserves and made his debut for England Under 19s, eventually making 13 appearances for the second string as they won the national championship.

He signed a new contract in January 2012, which will keep him with Chelsea until the summer of 2013.

He made 13 appearances during the 2011/12 season.

During the current campaign, Deen-Conteh has played the majority of his games at left-back for the Under-21s. He also has one goal to his name, which was scored earlier in the season in the 6-0 home win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
