Alex Kiwomya

Born on 20 May 1996 in Sheffield, Alex chose Chelsea from a number of options after leaving Rotherham a couple of years ago, Alex is an exciting striker with electric pace having been a national junior athletics champion in the 100 metres.

An England Under-16 international now in his first season full-time, he was an important part of the 2012 FA Youth Cup win where he was a regular second-half sub, scoring the winner in a dramatic fight-back from 3-0 down away at Nottingham Forest.

In the youth league campaign last season he was topscorer with seven goals from just three starts and 11 sub appearances and he also played his first reserve games as a schoolboy - one start and twice coming on.

This season has seen Kiwomya represent both the Under-18s and Under-21s. It's certainly been a productive season for the youngster, with regular action in both the NextGen Series and FA Youth Cup.

Kiwomya scored three goals during the NextGen Series, but perhaps his most telling contribution of the campaign thus far came in the FA Youth Cup semi-final first leg, when his two late goals at Anfield secured a 2-0 win.

At international level, Kiwomya made his debut for England Under-17s against Italy in August, 2012 while his most recent appearance for the Three Lions came in March, 2013 against Slovenia.

In December 2013 he signed a professional contract with Chelsea until 30 June 2016
