Chelsea Football Club is partners with the mobile network Three as our new principal shirt sponsor. As the newest team member, Three is keen to help connect us more than ever before and hopes to be more to you than just a logo on a shirt.
We have been working closely with Three to develop how we can bring supporters closer than ever before to the team, the club and more besides through what they know best - mobile and connectivity. With games being played behind closed doors for the immediate future, the role of the Three network and its technology has never been more important to us. Three wants to ensure fans and customers feel just as connected to their club now as you all would when cheering from the stands at Stamford Bridge.
There will be initiatives involving the men’s, women’s and Academy teams, plus club venues and the Chelsea Foundation, all aiming to ‘Connect the Game’. As we progress through the remainder of this season and into the next, Three will open up unique ‘money can’t buy’ experiences, exclusive mobile deals, branded Chelsea accessories, competitions and a host of other opportunities you will all be keen to get your hands on.
Chelsea is already working with Three on enhancing connectivity in and around Stamford Bridge so that when we are able to welcome you back, you will be able to reap the benefits.
Guy Laurence, Chief Executive of Chelsea Football Club, said: ‘We welcome Three to the Chelsea team wholeheartedly. Already from day one they are providing new ways to engage and connect our fan base, and we know Three is keen to connect us all more than ever before. We look forward to what this new era brings for us as a club, and the teams are looking forward to wearing the Three logo on their chests with pride, starting with our game tonight.’
Elaine Carey, chief commercial officer at Three UK, commented: ‘We are delighted to be working alongside Chelsea FC, one of the largest and most innovative of the Premier League’s clubs, to enable our customers and fans to stay connected to the team they love.
‘Connectivity is more integral than ever to football fans at the moment, whether it’s accessing content, watching live streams or interacting with other fans online. As one of the UK’s leading networks we can facilitate the wealth of connectivity opportunities that will enhance the fan experience day to day. We aim to drive innovation in football connectivity to positively benefit our customers, the fans, the club and the wider community for future success both on and off the pitch.’
With the Christmas period inextricably linked to football for a lot of people – Boxing Day fixtures in particular forming a part of many families’ festive traditions – Lampard and Hayes have joined Three in appealing to football fans nationwide, regardless of their club allegiance, to remember the importance of staying connected and providing support networks for those who need it.
