A narrow victory over relegated Portsmouth sealed our first ever League and FA Cup Double on a sunny Wembley afternoon.
Didier Drogba's free-kick was enough to see John Terry lift the trophy in the Royal Box, following an entertaining game in which we hit the woodwork five times in the first half and Petr Cech saved a penalty, before Frank Lampard dragged a spot kick wide in the closing stages.
We had arrived in the final following a 3-0 semi-final win over Aston Villa, second-half strikes from Drogba, Florent Malouda and an injury-time Lampard goal securing comfortable passage.
Our campaign had started in January with a 5-0 home win over Championship side Watford at Stamford Bridge before travelling to Preston North End in the fourth round as we recorded a straightforward 2-0 win.
Cardiff City and Stoke City were both despatched with little fuss at the Bridge to put us into the last four, and when Drogba struck from distance in late May, we lifted the trophy for the sixth time.
