The Chelsea FC Foundation Education department aims to work collaboratively to promote community cohesion, education, lifelong learning and skills for the 21st century.

Working in partnership with learning providers, schools and businesses, we use the power of football and the Chelsea style to excite and motivate learners of all ages.

Our education department continues to build on successful relationships with schools, colleges and the local community and to develop and deliver exciting education initiatives which help inspire participants to achieve their learning goals. Each season our education projects help over 2,000 learners aged from seven to 70 and above.

Our employability programmes support job seekers to find work, while we support learning in over 60 partner schools and colleges across Hammersmith and Fulham, Wandsworth, Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea and Brent. In particular, projects focus on improving participants' skills and attitudes to learning, the club's rich history and changes in lifestyle and society over the last century. Literacy, numeracy, employability, enterprise and technology are a focus for our projects. Anti-discrimination, celebrating equality and diversity are also key messages taught across our programmes.

If you have any queries or questions please contact Matt Mead - Head of Education.

Schools Education

Using the powerful medium of football we design, create and deliver activities to stretch and challenge learners in fun and exciting ways. We aim to motivate and inspire learners while helping them to achieve their learning goals.

We offer a varied menu of activities, which include home (stadium-based) and away (school-based) fixtures. Programming also includes the opportunity to create bespoke programmes and activities to meet the needs of an individual school or group. Activities compliment what is delivered in schools as part of the curriculum and refer to the national curriculum.

PRIMARY SCHOOL OPTIONS:

Primary school options
As part of our primary schools offer, we deliver the Premier League Primary Stars programme.

Premier League Primary Stars uses the appeal of football clubs to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills in the classroom, the playground and on the sports field.

Learning is connected to the real world of sport to enthuse pupils when tackling challenging PSHE topics such as resilience, diversity, self-esteem and fair play.

We work with schools staff to deliver fun, educational sessions in a range of subjects that cover English and Maths to teamwork and PE.

Schools are invited to sign up and participate in the following CFC Foundation Primary Stars opportunities:

- CPD events for teachers

- Targeted teaching activities outside of curriculum

- Collapsed curriculum days for primary schools

- PSHE-themed assemblies and lessons

We also include the following programmes as part of our core Primary Stars delivery:
