Chelsea FC Heroes: Cesc Fabregas

A fan favourite in India, we asked some of you for your memories of Cesc Fabregas to mark six years since the Spaniard became a Blue!

Dipanshu Sharma, Kolkata
“Among the many players who are renowned for their influence in Chelsea FC colors, Cesc Fabregas was one of them. The Spanish magician did not like to score goals, but provided some incredible assists. The day when he left the pitch for the last time as a Blue with tears in his eyes really showed how much he loved the club and he did everything he could have done here.”

Krishnan Mahadevan, Bangalore
“18 August, 2014. Fabregas' first game for the Blues and my most memorable moment. That assist to Andre Schürrle is probably the best way he could have announced his return to the Premier League. Cesc Fabregas’ passing was extraordinary in a Chelsea shirt! The best playmaker I can ever think of!”

Krithik Ramesh, Chennai
“Coming in as an ex player/captain of our London rivals, Cesc Fabregas didn’t let it get to his head and let his performances speak volumes. Cesc Fabregas providing a lobbed ball for Diego Costa to control and score, a Chelsea winner on most occasions, was not something rare. The Spanish combo of the two was second to none and the goals they produced did justice to the excellent work done by the Spanish playmaker.”

Abinav Kartik, Tiruppur
“The first memory I have of Cesc Fabregas in a Chelsea shirt would be the 2018 FA Cup final, which we won against Manchester United. Operating as a playmaker, Cesc Fabregas was superb throughout with his vision and passing range. He's always been a magician for Chelsea. Even if he's not in our team, he'll continue to be a Blue in our memories.”

Vinay Vernekar, Panvel
“As soon as Chelsea announced the arrival of Cesc Fabregas in 2014, we celebrated with the belief that we’ve got a world-class playmaker. I still remember that 3-1 win over Swansea City when Fabregas capped off a beautiful individual performance with a goal and an assist on his 300th Chelsea appearance, equalling Frank Lampard as the league’s second-highest provider of all-time. Yes, Cesc Fabregas does wear the magic hat!”
