Indian Blues MOTM - Chelsea vs Manchester United

After securing a point away at Old Trafford we asked some Indian Blues for their man of the match!

Sahil Nahar, Delhi

My man of the match? Edouard Mendy, hands down. I couldn't have asked for a better performance on my birthday. It’s really amazing how he has adapted to the Premier League so quickly. We all know how it’s not easy playing away at Old Trafford, yet he made four world-class saves which determined the outcome of the game.

Uday Kurum, Nanded

I thought Mendy made some world class saves vs Manchester United and was the clear choice for man of the match. He saved a one-on-one against Marcus Rashford, and also reacted brilliantly to Mata’s attempt at goal. He was consistent throughout the game, making a last minute save as well. A man of the match performance from our new keeper

Sayan Biswas, Pune

My man of the match has to be Ben Chilwell. He not only took care of his defensive duties, but also showed brilliance and creativity in attack. He played a crucial role in the team putting up a good defensive performance against a side that are always dangerous on the counter.

Anshuman Kar, Bhubaneswar

My man of the match was undoubtedly Edouard Mendy. His crucial save in the 90th minute alone was enough for me to pick him. However, throughout the game, he was very solid between the sticks, making a number of really good saves. Aside from Mendy I also feel Reece James and Thiago Silva put in great performances.

Palash Modi, Mumbai

It’s a no-brainer that Edouard Mendy was our best player on the pitch at Old Trafford. He made some amazing saves, one of which was in the dying minutes of the game, flying across the goal to deny Rashford. Even though he had a shaky moment early in the game he didn’t lose any confidence, going on to keep a well-deserved clean sheet.
