Two Austrian summer friendlies announced

Chelsea Football Club is pleased to announce two pre-season friendly fixtures in Austria this summer, both of which will be screened live on Chelsea TV.

We will meet Rapid Vienna in the first game to take place at their new Allianz Stadion home on Saturday 16 July, in what will also be Antonio Conte’s first match in charge of the Blues.

The single-tiered Allianz Stadion is a brand new 28,500-seat stadium in the west of Vienna, built to replace Rapid’s former Gerhard Hanappi Stadium. We will kick off against Rapid at 6pm local time (5pm UK time).

We then meet WAC RZ Pellets at the Worthersee Stadion (pictured above) on Wednesday July 20, a repeat of our 2014 friendly which ended in a 1-1 draw. Kick-off will be at 8pm local time (7pm UK time).

The trip to Austria will see the squad based in the market town of Velden in Carinthia, the same southern region as two years ago. We have once again been assisted in the organisation of the training camp and our fixtures by Match IQ.

Ticket news for our matches will follow here on chelseafc.com.

These games will precede our tour of America, where we play games against Liverpool, Real Madrid and AC Milan in the International Champions Cup.

All our summer tour matches will also be live and exclusive on Chelsea TV in the UK and Ireland, with all the action and highlights available to view online around the world.
