Academy midfielder heads north

Jordan Houghton has joined Doncaster Rovers on loan until 3 January.

The 20-year-old midfielder will continue his development with the League Two club who are managed by Darren Ferguson.

Houghton, who has captained our Under-21s, enjoyed a productive loan spell at Plymouth Argyle during the second part of last season, helping them reach the play-offs.

Two players have finalised season-long loans abroad. They are Matej Delac, the 24-year-old Croatian goalkeeper, who has joined Belgian top-flight side Royal Excel Mouscron, and Bekanty Victorien Angban who was in Belgium last season and will spend the 2016/17 season with Granada in La Liga.

The 19-year-old midfielder, who has three senior international caps for the Ivory Coast, will link up with fellow Chelsea youngster Jeremie Boga in southern Spain.
