David Luiz’s brilliant free-kick against Liverpool has come out on top in the voting for Chelsea's January Goal of the Month competition.
The Brazilian scored his first goal since returning to the club in our 1-1 draw at Anfield, breaking the deadlock with a magnificent strike which gave Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet no chance (video below).
Goals scored by Willian and Pedro, as well as Branislav Ivanovic's final strike for the club, were also nominated, but it was David Luiz's effort which received the highest number of votes.
The winning entrant is Anuj Poudel from the US, who will receive a signed shirt from the player of his choice. There will be the chance to vote for February's best strike soon.
This season's previous Chelsea Goals of the Month were:
December - Pedro v Bournemouth
November - Pedro v Tottenham
October - Diego Costa v Southampton
September - Cesar Azpilicueta v Leicester (animated graphic below)
