David Luiz, Gary Cahill and Nathan Ake teamed up with a Singaporean restaurant in London to try their hand at some traditional cooking.
The Blues trio, who will play two matches in the Lion City next month, were tasked with cooking 'Char Kway Teow’ by the head chef from the Singapore Garden restaurant in north London.
Assistant coach and club ambassador Carlo Cudicini was on hand to judge the players’ culinary skills, which look to be in promising shape ahead of our summer visit.
We face Bayern Munich on 25 July and Inter Milan on 29 July as part of the International Champions Cup Singapore, with tickets for the matches at the National Stadium selling fast. The Blues will also face London rivals Arsenal in Beijing before arriving in Singapore.
‘We’re looking forward to going to Asia this summer, the fans are so passionate you can’t help enjoying yourself,’ Cahill said. ‘I haven’t been to China or Singapore before so it’s good to be able to tick off some more places.
‘It’s amazing to see the passion for Chelsea wherever we go. The fans in Asia are crazy, making the commitment to watch games in the middle of the night when we are playing so it’s nice to be able to give a little something back.’
