Lampard heading to Tokyo with Yokohama

Chelsea fans in Japan will have a special opportunity to see Frank Lampard and the Premier League trophy in Tokyo next week, thanks to our partners at Yokohama.

Super Frank, our all-time top scorer, will be meeting supporters at the Shiodome Concourse at B1F Higashi Shinbashi in Tokyo between 1.30pm and 3.30pm on Thursday November 9, with fans also able to have their photo taken with the Premier League trophy lifted by Antonio Conte’s side at the end of last season.

‘I am very excited to visit Japan with Chelsea and Yokohama,' said Lampard. ‘I can’t wait to meet as many of the Chelsea fans in Tokyo as possible.

‘Japan is home to some of the most passionate and loyal football supporters in the world and I love every chance I get to visit the country and experience its fantastic culture.’

Lampard will also be joining a Chelsea Foundation coaching session for young Japanese footballers at the British Embassy in Tokyo before attending a special celebration dinner with Yokohama in the evening.

Before Lampard touches down in Japan, fellow former Blue Paulo Ferreira will be joining Chelsea fans in Bangkok to watch our Premier League clash with Manchester United on Sunday. He will also be displaying the trophy he lifted three times during a nine-year playing career at Stamford Bridge.

You’ll be able to hear plenty more on the two legends’ trips over the coming week, with coverage across our dedicated Japanese and Thai language social media accounts as well as here on
