On Loan

Chelsea Here Chelsea There

We round up the action over the past seven days for Chelsea’s loaned players…

There was a Blues head-to-head in the San Siro at the weekend with Tiemoue Bakayoko and AC Milan hosting a Torino side with Ola Aina at right wing-back, and it was defences on top in a 0-0 draw, although Milan missed a good late chance and were also grateful to their goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma for an important save.

In La Liga, Michy Bathsuayi came off the bench to help Valencia come back from a goal down to earn a point against Sevilla. Kenneth Omeruo was in the Leganes defence as they also drew 1-1 with Getafe. Danilo Pantic played the majority of Partizan Belgrade’s 3-0 win over Rad Beograd in the Serbian Super Liga.

Eduardo featured in goal for Vitesse who lost their Eredivisie match with Breda 2-1, while Kylian Hazard could not prevent Cercle Brugge from slipping to a 3-0 defeat against Antwerp in the Belgian top flight.

Victorien Angban played for Metz in the French second tier as they beat Red Star 2-0. In the Spanish second division, Jhoao Rodriguez came off the bench for Tenerife in their goalless draw with Extremadura.

In the Premier League, Kurt Zouma featured at the back for Everton in last Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with Newcastle, who were without Kenedy, and he will be hoping to be in action for the Toffees again tonight when they host Watford.

At Championship level, Fikayo Tomori and Mason Mount both played for Derby who beat 10-man Wigan 1-0. The Rams are in fourth place in the Championship, five points off the automatic promotion places. Reece James played at the back for the Latics who had a player sent off after just 15 minutes.
Tomas Kalas helped Bristol City to keep things tight at the back when they won 1-0 at in-form Birmingham City. Two West Midlands sides came together on Friday night as Aston Villa were held to a point by West Brom, who scored a last-ditch equaliser in a 2-2 draw. Tammy Abraham played up front for the Villans but could not make it a fifth consecutive game on the scoresheet.

Todd Kane played in defence for Hull City who drew 2-2 at Millwall, with Michael Hector at the heart of Sheffield Wednesday’s rearguard when the Owls drew by the same scoreline against Rotherham. Trevoh Chalobah was in action for Ipswich who were beaten 2-0 at Stoke.

In League One, Bradley Collins was between the sticks for Burton who won 2-1 against Shrewsbury. Dujon Sterling returned from injury to feature for Coventry City at Walsall, but there was late heartache for the Sky Blues who conceded two stoppage-time goals at the end of the game to lose 2-1. Ike Ugbo was a second-half substitute for Scunthorpe who were beaten 2-0 by Gillingham.

In League Two, Jacob Maddox started for Cheltenham in their 2-1 victory over Grimsby and in last week’s Checkatrade Trophy fixtures, Charlie Colkett helped Shrewsbury beat Walsall 2-1.
