Blues honoured for City performance

The League Managers Association (LMA) has crowned Chelsea’s display against Manchester City in last Saturday’s 2-0 win the Performance of the Week.

The game, which was won thanks to goals in either half from N’Golo Kante and David Luiz, brought City’s first Premier League defeat of the season and kept us in the top four.

Maurizio Sarri, who earned his first win over Pep Guardiola, will receive a bottle of champagne and a Performance of the Week trophy to commemorate the result.

The weekly award is voted for by a five-man panel comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave BassettandBarry Fry.
