Thibaut Courtois has been named the best goalkeeper at the World Cup after a stunning tournament for Belgium.
The Chelsea man helped his country to a best-ever third-placed finish at the tournament in Russia, keeping his third clean sheet of the tournament on Saturday as the Red Devils defeated England 2-0.
Additionally, no other goalkeeper made more saves than Courtois, who kept the opposition at bay on 27 occasions in his seven appearances. He joined his international team-mates at a parade in Brussels on Sunday.
Hazard won the Silver Ball, the award for the second best player at the World Cup as decided by the same FIFA Technical Study Group. Croatia’s Luka Modric won the Golden Ball with France's Antoine Griezmann collecting the Bronze.
