Chelsea Here Chelsea There

There were plenty of our loanees in action this weekend, both in England and further afield, and we bring you up to date with how they fared in our latest round-up...

There was a big win for Eduardo and Jake Clarke-Salter as they both played for Vitesse in a 5-1 victory over Groningen in the Dutch Eredivisie, with Clarke-Salter scoring their fourth goal. Both players had also featured in their Europa League qualifying defeat to Basel last week.

Danilo Pantic was also among the goals on Sunday, netting Partizan’s winner in their 1-0 victory over Zemun in the Serbian Super Liga.

In the Premier League, Kenedy started for Newcastle who were beaten 2-1 by Tottenham at St James’ Park. The Brazilian was impressive throughout for the hosts, who were unfortunate to be beaten.

There were three Chelsea loanees involved in the Championship clash between Frank Lampard’s Derby County and Leeds United. Fikayo Tomori made his Rams debut, with Mason Mount ahead of him in midfield, but it was the Yorkshire club who came out on top, winning 4-1, with Lewis Baker coming off the bench for them late on.

Todd Kane lined up on the left of midfield for Hull, who drew 1-1 at Sheffield Wednesday, while Reece James played right-back for Wigan, who went down to a 90th-minute goal in a 3-2 defeat at Aston Villa.

Kasey Palmer started for Blackburn in their goalless draw against Millwall, while Trevoh Chalobah played as a holding midfielder for Ipswich, who lost 1-0 at Rotherham.

Dujon Sterling helped Coventry City put their first point on the board in League One, as the Sky Blues drew 0-0 at AFC Wimbledon.

In League Two, Nathan Baxter was between the sticks for Yeovil, who drew 2-2 against Mansfield Town. Jacob Maddox was part of Cheltenham’s midfield in a 1-0 defeat at Tranmere.

In the Scottish Championship, Ruben Sammut played for Falkirk in a 2-1 loss at Partick Thistle.

In Brazil, Nathan started for Atletico-MG as they beat Santos 3-1 yesterday.

Last week there was a debut goal for Mario Pasalic, who was on target in his first game for Atalanta as they beat Hapoel Haifa 4-1 in a Europa League qualifier. The midfielder scored just a few minutes after coming off the bench.
