Lifting the Lid: Victor Moses

Victor Moses reveals some behind-the-scenes information about his Chelsea team-mates, including why a certain Dane would make a good forward...

Moses is the second player to take part in our new feature for 2018/19, and he also answers a question posed by Willian, who was the subject of our first instalment last week...

Who has been the best player in training recently?

Everyone has been good, everyone is working hard but I’d say Ross Barkley. He had a big injury but he’s started the season really well and he’s working his socks off.

Any outfield players who would make a good goalkeeper?

David Luiz. I think he would have the motivation to go in goal during a game.

Of the defenders, who would make a good striker?

Andreas Christensen. He has that flair and technical quality so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him do well up front.

Who do you sit with on away trips? What do you do to pass the time?

I sit with Eden and we always have a laugh and crack jokes. While we’re away I watch a lot of Netflix. I like Peaky Blinders and Power.

Who controls the music in the dressing room?

The kit man. But he plays stuff we all like. Before he downloaded it he spoke to all of us to make sure there is something everybody enjoys.

Who is good at lifting morale after a defeat?

Gary Cahill, David Luiz, the most experienced players. Myself as well. It’s important to move on to the next game quickly after a bad result.

Who is the biggest joker in the dressing room?

David Luiz is very funny, Toni Rudiger as well. I would say those two.

Who is the quietest?

N’Golo Kante. He doesn’t say anything unless you speak to him. He saves his energy for on the pitch so we are happy with him.

Who is the loudest?

Rudiger is pretty loud.

Is there anybody who takes good free-kicks in training that we may not know about?

I’d like to see Eden take a few more free-kicks, he’s good at them in training. David Luiz as well but he’s taken them in games before.

Who is the most active on Instagram?

He’s on loan now but definitely Michy Batshuayi, he’s number one.

Who should the fans follow on social media?

They should follow me. I’m on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Michy is also worth following.

Who do you eat lunch with at Cobham?

We all eat lunch together and crack a few jokes. There is a nice family feel here at Chelsea.

Who took the longest to learn English?

Kenedy.

The extra question from Willian...

What do you plan on doing when you retire?

I want to get into business, maybe a property business or something along those lines.
