Greek, Belarusian and Hungarian opponents in Europa League

The Blues will play PAOK, BATE Borisov and Vidi in the group stage of the Europa League.

The draw took place today (Friday) in Monaco where we were in the pot for the top-seeded clubs.

From Pot 2 we drew PAOK from Thessaloniki in Greece, BATE Borisov from Belarus from Pot 3 and from the pot containing the lowest seeds, Vidi from Szekesfehervar in Hungary.

All three teams represent new opposition for the Blues. Vidi until recently were known as Videoton.

PAOK were runners up in Greece last season, while the other two sides are their nations reigning champions. BATE have former Arsenal man Alexander Hleb in their squad.
