There is a change in date and venue for our development squad’s trip to Liverpool next month.
Originally scheduled to be played at Anfield on Monday 8 April, the league fixture will now be hosted at Kirkby Academy on Saturday 6 April with a 3pm kick-off. Joe Edwards’s side are level on points with the Reds with three games of the Premier League 2 season remaining. Victory on Merseyside would take them third.
The last time we beat Liverpool at this age group was August 2016 when Mason Mount and Dujon Sterling notched goals in a 4-1 victory at Aldershot. Since then, we’ve been beaten on four consecutive occasions.
Before then, Edwards takes charge of our Under-19s in the UEFA Youth League quarter-finals next week. Dinamo Zagreb come to Cobham on Wednesday 3 April battling for a place in the last four. The young Blues beat Montpellier 2-1 last time out courtesy of goals from Juan Castillo and Luke McCormick.
Remaining Development Squad Fixtures
Our final PL2 home game of the campaign takes place on Monday 15 April when Arsenal are the visitors to Stamford Bridge for a 7pm kick-off. Tickets are currently on general sale priced at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
