See which Chelsea three Cesc Fabregas selects

Former Chelsea man Cesc Fabregas has named three Chelsea men in his all-time team-mates 11.

Fabregas, a World Cup and European Championship winner with Spain, as well as Premier League and La Liga champion with the Blues and Barcelona, had a host of world-class names to choose from when assessing those he had shared a pitch with.

Taking to his official Instagram page, the midfielder, who left us in January for Monaco, outlined his side in a 4-4-2 formation, with one Chelsea man in each of the outfield positions.

Ahead of goalkeeper Iker Casillas was centre-back John Terry, featuring in a back four alongside Daniel Alves, Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba, all of whom were team-mates of Fabregas at the Camp Nou, where he spent three years before arriving at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2014.

Ahead of that, Eden Hazard features on the left of a four-man midfield, with Lionel Messi on the right and Andres Iniesta and Patrick Vieira providing balance and craft in the middle.

Vieira is one of two Arsenal players to feature, the other being Thierry Henry who Fabregas picked as his first striker. The other is Chelsea and Spain team-mate Diego Costa, who was a regular beneficiary of Fabregas’ fantastic passing ability.

We think this is a pretty impressive side, and it is a shame the 31-year-old did not name a substitutes’ bench which would have allowed for even more talent to feature.

What do you think of the team? Could Cesar Azpilicueta or Branislav Ivanovic pip Dani Alves at right-back? And could Ashley Cole have staked a claim on the left, having played with Fabregas at Highbury?
