We all know how good Eden Hazard is, but he showcased his talents once again last night when producing a sublime piece of skill during our Europa League tie with Slavia Prague.
The Blues head back to Stamford Bridge a goal to the good ahead of the second leg on Thursday, with Marcos Alonso stooping low to head home the winner in the Czech capital with just four minutes remaining.
Hazard started on the bench for the Blues before being introduced as a second-half substitute, as did N’Golo Kante, with the pair playing their part as we began to take control of the tie.
One moment of brilliance in particular from Hazard caught the eye and highlighted just how talented the Belgian is.
Receiving the ball in the centre of the pitch, he weaved past a couple of Slavia players to escape their attentions, nutmegging David Luiz-lookalike Alex Kral in the process with a sensational flick and turn.
The young Slavia midfielder wasn’t to be left too red-faced though by Hazard’s skill, as he caught up with David Luiz after the game for a quick photo and a chat. You can certainly see the similarities here!
Although the Brazilian defender didn’t take to the pitch at the Eden Arena, he certainly left his mark with his off-field generosity.
Not only did he catch up with Kral, but he and Hazard also made the day of one the Slavia mascots that extra bit special, with a lovely touching moment in the tunnel after the game.
Hazard offered the young mascot his match shirt and posed for a photo, with David Luiz also stopping by for a quick hug and a picture too. Lovely stuff, lads!
