Fans, players and legends spend Thursday together at Stamford Bridge

Stamford Bridge was busy on Thursday evening and on this occasion it was not the Europa League that brought supporters and players to the stadium on this particular day of the week.

A mix of current men's and women's players plus club legends were present to sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans, one Junior Blue who had travelled over the North Sea to meet the stars.

Willian, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Willian, Maren Mjelde, Magda Eriksson, Sophie Ingle and Jess Carter from the current squads, plus Tore Andre Flo and Katie Chapman from former Blues trophy-winning teams were all present.

The 250 lucky fans were chosen at random from an online ballot we announced at the start of the month. Thousands applied for the opportunity to see their heroes.

'We've come all the way from the Netherlands, we try to get here once a year and were very happy when we won,' said Huib and Thijs Dekker 'It's been very good. We are very excited to be here and see Willian.'

Waleed Nasir had travelled from quite a lot closer - Sidcup in Kent to be precise.

'I was amazed that I got picked, I was delighted. I've followed Chelsea since 1967 and the way it's grown has been amazing, I never miss a game. I was amazed that I got picked, I was delighted. It's changed so much, I remember when the Shed had the roof made of corrugated tin. This is one of the best events I've seen. So many families, the women's team, it's brilliant.'

Iain Craig from north-west London was another pleased to meet one of our Brazilian stars.

'I spent the day at work an drushed to get here with my dad,' he said. 'It's been brilliant. To see Willian, with everything he's done for the club, along with all the others has been amazing.'

'I entered the competition and found out I'd won and thought "I have to go, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity", said Thomson Khanje from Malawi who is studying at University of Sussex.

'I've supported Chelsea for 20 years and they've made me very happy. I'm so happy, I'll always remember it in my life, I'm never going to wash this scarf.'

There will be another signing event next season. Watch this space!
