Eden Hazard’s stunning strike against West Ham has been nominated for the Premier League’s Goal of the Season.
The Belgian scored a fantastic solo goal against the Hammers in April, as we ran out 2-0 winners at Stamford Bridge on our way to securing third place in the Premier League and ensuring that Champions League football will be returning to SW6 next term. Hazard would also score our second goal that evening, in injury time.
Hazard is up against nine other goalscorers – the winner of each Goal of the Month award – and you can help the brilliant Belgian come out on top by voting for him here.
Up against Hazard are Jean Michael Seri, Daniel Sturridge, Aaron Ramsey, Son Heung-min, Andros Townsend, Andre Schurrle, Fabian Schar, Anthony Knockaert and Vincent Kompany.
Voting will close at 5pm on Friday, with the winner announced at midday on Tuesday, 21 May.
The public’s votes will be combined with those of a panel of football experts to determine the winner.
Hazard will be hoping to come out on top and add to the accolades he picked up at the recent Chelsea Awards night, which saw our No10 named Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and win Goal of the Season for his stunning strike against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup.
The Belgian was also named the Premier League’s Playmaker of the Season, owing to the 15 assists he had to his name this campaign.
