Chelsea will be in pot one for the Champions League group-stage draw next season, when we re-enter the competition after a year away.

The Blues had already confirmed our place in the Champions League by finishing third in the Premier League, but secured our place in the top group of seeds by defeating Arsenal in the Europa League final in Baku.

Here’s all the information you need to know…

When is the Champions League draw?

The group-stage draw for the 2019/20 Champions League takes place in Monaco on Thursday August 29, with the first round of matches taking place on September 17 and 18.

How are the top seeds determined?

The winners of the Champions League and the Europa League automatically slot into pot one, which is reserved for the holders of the two European competitions and the champions of the six strongest domestic leagues.

There will be three Premier League teams in pot one. Chelsea are included following our Europa League win, Liverpool’s Champions League victory places them in the pot one and Manchester City are also in the group of top seeds for winning the Premier League.

Who else in pot one?

The confirmed list for pot one is as follows: Barcelona (La Liga), Manchester City (Premier League), Juventus (Serie A), Bayern Munich (Bundesliga), Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1), Zenit Saint-Petersburg (Russian Premier), Liverpool (Champions League) and Chelsea (Europa League).

Who can we face?

We will be drawn alongside a team from each other pot but cannot be grouped with another Premier League side.

Are the pots confirmed?
