Continuing our review of last season, we look here at some of the headline stats from our two domestic knockout cup campaigns.

Carabao Cup

Beginning with the longer of the two runs, there were six matches in our Carabao Cup campaign which began with an away win at Anfield and ended with a penalty shoot-out disappointment in the final at Wembley when we missed out to Man City. Two players featured in all six games and both started five of them.

Carabao Cup goalsEden Hazard top scored in the competition with three goals, including his Chelsea Goal of the Season winner at Liverpool.

Our next highest scorer in the competition was own-goals! Fikayo Tomori, on loan with Derby netted one of those, with the Rams’ Richard Keogh responsible for the other in the same game which we won 3-2.

FA Cup

The FA Cup campaign was limited to three games and no one started all of those. Azpilicueta and Barkley are the two of have made a contribution in each of the three matches, with two starts and one sub appearance apiece.
