In the first of a summer series in which we ask the players to talk about one of our favourite images of them from the 2018/19 season, we begin with Marcos Alonso who tells us about photo below.

It takes us back to August and the first home game of the season – and more specifically the left-back’s dramatic 81st-minute winner over Arsenal...

‘When you see Eden Hazard outside one against one, 99 per cent of the time he is going to dribble past his man or cross the ball, so I tried to get in the box,’ Alonso says.‘I have great memories from that day. I gave an assist and scored the winner. It was an amazing feeling, and also in front of our fans.‘There wasn’t long left, just a few minutes, but when there is the possibility of getting the three points for the team, and against a great team like Arsenal in a London derby and in front of our fans, there is no tiredness!’
