Chelsea will travel to Ireland in July, where we will face a double-header against Bohemians and St Patrick’s Athletic to kick off our pre-season campaign, with a match against German side Borussia Monchengladbach completing our 2019/20 preparations...

The Blues will head across the Irish Sea to take on Bohemians on Wednesday 10 July at Dalymount Park with kick-off at 7.45pm. We will then play St Patrick’s on Saturday 13 July at their Richmond Park stadium with kick-off at 2pm.

Games against Kawasaki Frontale, Barcelona, Reading and RB Salzburg follow before we travel to Monchengladbach, who finished third in last season’s Bundesliga, on Saturday 3 August in a 5pm local time kick-off, to finalise our pre-season arrangements.

Bohemians are currently third in the League of Ireland Premier Division, which runs from February to October, while St Patrick’s fifth-place finish last term saw them qualify for the Europa League first qualifying round, where they will be up against Swedish opponents IFK Norrkoping.

It will be the second successive summer we have visited Dublin for pre-season action, following our meeting with Arsenal at the Aviva Stadium last August. Antonio Rudiger scored in a 1-1 draw before the Gunners beat us on penalties, with Petr Cech saving spot-kicks in normal time and in the shoot-out.

The games in Ireland precede our trip to Japan, where we will play against J.League champions Kawasaki in Yokohama on 19 July before facing Barcelona in Saitama on 23 July.

We return to Europe to meet Reading at the Madejski Stadium on 28 July and Austrian champions RB Salzburg on 31 July.

Our Premier League campaign begins with a trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United on Sunday 11 August.
