In the next of our summer series in which we ask the players to talk about one of our favourite images of them from the 2018/19 season, we hear from N'Golo Kante who tells us about the photo below.

It takes us back to a critical moment against the eventual champions at Stamford Bridge, when Kante opened the scoring with one of four goals he netted last season...

‘I don’t know if it was my favourite goal of the season but I would say this one was important because it was quite a difficult game. I was happy to give the lead to the team, and then we managed to win the game, so I am very happy for this goal.

‘The position I played gave me more opportunities to score. It was like another type of my game to improve. I think I improved my positioning and my movement in the more advanced role.

‘It’s always good to score. It’s a happy feeling because it’s the main target of the game. When we help the team to come back in a game or take the lead I am always happy when we have a goal, and especially when I score.'
