Chelsea officially start pre-season today, with Frank Lampard and his squad having arrived in Dublin earlier this afternoon.

Our new head coach will use this week to get to know his squad better, with games against Bohemians and St Patrick’s Athletic scheduled for next week.

Included on the trip are Michy Batshuayi, Kurt Zouma, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Kenedy who all took in loan spells away from Stamford Bridge last season at Crystal Palace, Everton, AC Milan and Newcastle respectively.

Also making the trip across the Irish Sea are Cesar Azpilicueta, Pedro, Danny Drinkwater, Davide Zappacosta and Willy Caballero.

A number of younger players will also have the opportunity to impress our new head coach and his new-look coaching team, with the likes of Ethan Ampadu and Trevoh Chalobah included on the trip.

Other players who have been involved at international level this summer are due to join up with Lampard’s squad in the Irish capital over the coming days.

Keep your eyes on our digital platforms for exclusive access and extensive coverage of the pre-season training camp, with both games available to watch via chelseafc.com and The 5th Stand app.
