Chelsea have arrived safely in Japan as the pre-season preparations continue in the Far East ahead of games against Kawasaki Frontale and Barcelona.

Frank Lampard has selected an original 24-man travelling party, with American international Christian Pulisic expected to join up with the Blues in Japan a little later today.

The players that have arrived in Japan today all travelled to Ireland last week and all but two featured at some stage for Lampard’s side in Dublin, with the head coach kicking off life in charge at Stamford Bridge with a draw against Bohemians and a comfortable 4-0 win against St Patrick’s Athletic.

N’Golo Kante is part of the squad and Lampard has confirmed that the French midfielder will step up his involvement this week, after working separately from the group in Ireland as he recovers from a slight knock.

Kepa Arrizabalaga is another Blue who didn’t feature in either of the two games in Ireland, with Willy Caballero and Jamie Cumming used between the sticks, but the Spanish stopper is expected to be involved in our games against J-League champions Kawasaki Frontale and Barcelona.
