First England Under-21 call-ups for Trevoh Chalobah and Marc Guehi

Trevoh Chalobah and Marc Guehi have been named in Aidy Boothroyd's first England Under-21 squad of the season.

It is the first time the young Chelsea pair have been called up at this level, having featured regularly at earlier age groups including for England's Under-19s and Under-20s last season. Guehi is a World Cup winner at Under-17 level, while Chalobah won the Under-19 European Championships with England, also in 2017.

Having suffered a disappointing group stage exit at this summer's European Championships in Italy, England kick off their qualification campaign for the next one with an away game against Turkey on Friday 6 September, in Izmit, and then a home fixture against Kosovo in Hull the following Monday.

Chalobah is currently on loan at Huddersfield in the Championship, while Guehi is our development squad captain. They have enjoyed an unbeaten start to the campaign and tonight host Tottenham at Aldershot. You can watch the match for free live on the app and this website.

Yesterday Mason Mount, who played for the Under-21s this season, was called up to the senior England squad for the second time. He is joined there by Ross Barkley.

Tariq Lamptey has received a first call-up to the England Under-20 squad. He is joined there by Conor Gallagher who has enjoyed life on loan at Charlton this season, scoring three goals already. England's Under-20s have a home game against Netherlands and an away one in Switzerland in the upcoming international break.

Faustino Anjorin and Clinton Mola have moved up to the England U19 squad for internationals against Greece and Germany. Lewis Bate, Valentino Livramento and Dynel Simeu are named for England U18s’ matches v Australia, Brazil and South Korea. Levi Colwill, Samuel Iling-Junior and Xavier Simons are in the England U17 squad for the Syrenka Cup tournament.
