The international matches are behind us so it is time to turn attention to the Premier League once more. We begin our build-up to Saturday's outing with all the facts and figures...

Wolves vs Chelsea head-to-head record

Chelsea did not beat Wolves last season, losing 1-2 at Molineux and drawing 1-1 at the Bridge. Our last win over Wolves in the Premier League was in January 2012 when we won 2-1 with an 89th-minute winner from Frank Lampard at Molineux.

Although Wolves were unbeaten in their two Premier League meetings with Chelsea last season, they lost seven of their first eight games against us in the competition.

We have not lost back-to-back top-flight visits to Molineux since losing three in a row there between December 1972 and March 1975.

None of the last 13 top-flight meetings since October 1968 between Wolves and Chelsea at Molineux have ended level. Chelsea have won six and lost seven. The Blues have won five of the last seven, although Wolves have won two of the last three.

Chelsea's recent record

Chelsea are looking to win consecutive away Premier League games for the first time since December 2018, when we won three in a row.

We have only lost three of our past 26 games in all competitions (excluding shoot-outs), with all defeats coming away from home in the Premier League.

All three of Chelsea’s away Premier League wins in 2019 have been against newly-promoted teams. In eight matches against teams who are not newly-promoted, we have won none, drawn two and lost six of eight games, scoring once and conceding 21 times.

Only Norwich City (10) have conceded more Premier League goals than Chelsea this season (9).

Tammy Abraham stat

Tammy Abraham has scored more goals than any other English player in the top two tiers since the start of last season (including the play-offs), with his second brace of the season, against Sheffield United, taking his total to 30.

Chelsea Milestones

Billy Gilmour is the 744th player to play for Chelsea and the equal 58th youngest at 18 years, 80 days. He is the first Scottish player to make an appearance for the Blues since Steven Watt in 2005.

Mason Mount has become the 49th Chelsea player to make an appearance for England.

Lampard vs Wolves

In his playing career for the Blues, Frank Lampard won four of his five games against Wolves, scoring three times.

Wolves are unbeaten at Molineux in their last 10 Premier League games, winning six and drawing four. They last suffered a home defeat on 2 January against Crystal Palace.

This run is their longest in the top-flight since October 1979. They last enjoyed a longer run between April 1971 and February 1972 (18 matches).

Wolves have won more games than any other Premier League team in all competitions in 2019/20 (six) despite failing to win any of their first four league games of the season. They won all six of their Europa League qualifying matches.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are the only Premier League team yet to lead for a single minute in a game so far this season, while only Norwich (187) have trailed for more minutes (182).

Wolves have conceded 60 per cent (three of five) of their Premier League goals in the opening 15 minutes of games this season.
