Antonio Rudiger and Marcos Alonso make their first appearances of the season as Frank Lampard opts to go with three at the back at Molineux.

The set-up is expected to be similar to the one Wolves have had enjoyed such success with since their return to the Premier League.

Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta are the wing-backs, with Rudiger joined by Andreas Christensen and Fikayo Tomori in the centre of defence.

Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic occupy the midfield positions, and ahead of them Tammy Abraham is flanked by Willian and Mason Mount.

Chelsea are expected to line up in the following 3-4-3 formation:

Kepa; Rudiger, Christensen, Tomori; Azpilicueta (c), Kovacic, Jorginho, Alonso; Willian, Abraham, Mount.

Chelsea did not beat Wolves last season, losing 1-2 at Molineux and drawing 1-1 at the Bridge. Our last win over Wolves in the Premier League was in January 2012 when we won 2-1 with an 89th-minute winner from Frank Lampard at Molineux.

Although Wolves were unbeaten in their two Premier League meetings with Chelsea last season, they lost seven of their first eight games against us in the competition.

We have not lost back-to-back top-flight visits to Molineux since losing three in a row there between December 1972 and March 1975.

None of the last 13 top-flight meetings since October 1968 between Wolves and Chelsea at Molineux have ended level. Chelsea have won six and lost seven. The Blues have won five of the last seven, although Wolves have won two of the last three.
