We had a 59.1 per cent share of possession and had 22 shots in total, six of which were on target.

We hit the woodwork once and had a further nine shots blocked. Tammy Abraham saw three of his attempts blocked, while Marcos Alonso had the most attempts on target for Chelsea with three.

Valencia had a total of eight shots with two on target. The visitors had five shots off target and one blocked.

We completed 537 of our 600 passes, equating to a 90 per cent success rate. Andreas Christensen was our most accurate passer of the outfielders who started the game, finding a team-mate 95 per cent of the time.

Jorginho was next with 94 per cent, while overall Valencia’s Daniel Parejo led the way – he completed 64 of his 66 passes at a 97 per cent success rate.

Overall Jorginho’s 90 passes was a game-high figure. Fikayo Tomori was next with 77.

When it came to key passes, Willian and Parejo registered five each. Mateo Kovacic made four.

Out of 19 attempted dribbles, we were successful with 14 at a rate of 74 per cent. Willian completed the most successful dribbles with nine, followed by Kovacic who made two.

Both teams won 11 tackles. During the game Chelsea attempted 15 and Valencia attempted 24. The player with the most successful tackles was Valencia’s Geoffrey Kondogbia with four. In second place was Jorginho with three.

We were dominant in the air, winning 21 aerial battles, compared to Valencia who won 12. Tammy Abraham won the most aerial duels with six. Marcos Alonso was next with four.
