Chelsea fan Devon Atkins enjoyed a day to remember last month when he joined the squad for its annual photo call after winning the sought-after Chelsea Foundation 50/50 Raffle prize.
Devon, who was joined by son Frankie, met the players individually before the pair took their place either side of Frank Lampard for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Launched in September 2017, The Chelsea Foundation Raffle is dedicated to raising money for the Chelsea Foundation with 50 per cent of the funds going to winners and the other 50 per cent going back to supporting the good causes of the club’s Foundation and the cost of running the draw.
Tickets cost just £2 to enter the draw, and you can buy online or at the stadium in the build-up to the game – with our next matchday draw taking place at our home fixture against Liverpool this weekend.
Prizes available to win are multiple cash winners, a pair of Kepa Arrizabalaga’s signed gloves and two tickets to watch the visit of Newcastle on October 19.
Devon, who has been a Chelsea fan since childhood said: ‘It has been awesome, a great experience, I have absolutely loved it and it was much more than I expected.
‘When we turned up we got a mini guided tour and then came out and met all the players who signed my son’s shirt.
‘I got to meet Frank Lampard before the players came out and we had a good chat. My son is named after him so it was extra special!
‘Frankie was so excited to be a part of the photo as well. His favourite player is Cesar Azpilicueta and Cesar spent a bit of time with him and also gave him a pair of signed boots which was incredible.
‘It is a great prize for a great cause and I am glad I supported the Foundation Raffles.’
