Chelsea's recent record

Last Sunday’s defeat to Liverpool was only our second in our last 25 home league games (13 wins, 10 draws, two defeats).

Chelsea’s Premier League games this season have produced a total of 25 goals (12 for, 13 against), with only Manchester City’s having more (30).

Frank Lampard’s side are seeking a clean sheet for the first time this season. Our last shut out was at Leicester in May, 10 games ago.

The last time we failed to keep a single clean sheet in our opening seven games to a top-flight season was in 1990/91.

The Blues have netted 12 goals so far in the Premier League this term, only Man City (24) and Liverpool (17) have scored more.

Brighton are without a win in five Premier League games and have enjoyed one victory in their last 15 games in the competition, drawing six and losing eight.

Brighton have won four points from their three away Premier League games this season. They won the first 3-0 at Watford, lost 0-4 at Manchester City and drew the third at Newcastle last weekend.

A defeat for Brighton on Saturday would set a record since the Football League began in 1888 for most games against an opponent while losing each game (currently eight defeats). Bournemouth also lost all eight of their games against Wimbledon between 1977 and 1984.

Since joining the Premier League in 2017, Brighton have taken one point from 13 Premier League away games at the ‘big six’ sides.

Brighton have failed to score in five of their last seven away league games. Since their promotion to the Premier League in 2017, only Huddersfield (23) have failed to score in more away games than the Seagulls (22).

The Seagulls have scored two goals in their past five Premier League games and have failed to find the back of the net in nine of their last 15.
