The teams: Chelsea v Southampton

Alvaro Morata comes into the side to lead the line this evening while Cesc Fabregas and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are among the subs having recovered from injury.

Morata, a scorer in the previous meeting between the teams, makes his first start since the Europa League match away against MOL Vidi, having played the closing stages of Sunday's win over Crystal Palace.

His inclusion, with Olivier Giroud injured, is the only change to the team which started at Selhurst Park, with Ross Barkley retaining his place in midfield.

The regular Premier League back four remains in place and it's Eden Hazard and Willian who will provide the width in attack.

Pedro and Callum Hudson-Odoi miss out, but Fabregas and Loftus-Cheek, who both missed the trip to Palace through injury, return and are named on the bench.

Former Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu starts for the visitors.
