Gianfranco Zola's magical Chelsea memories

Gianfranco Zola has given supporters an insight into pivotal moments of his playing career through some of the kits he wore during those times.

The Chelsea legend, and current assistant first team coach, took part in BT Sport’s What I Wore, where he looked back on his wonderful career and, in particular, his time at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian moved to Chelsea from Parma in November 1996 and immediately became a favourite of supporters.

In the clip below he discusses why his transfer to London helped him to fall in love with the game again.

He also explains why his compatriot Pierluigi Casiraghi would have helped us win the Premier League title in 1998/98 had the striker not missed most of the campaign through injury.

Zola was a team-mate of both John Terry and Frank Lampard during his time as a Chelsea player and he discussed the qualities of the pair.
