Our development squad return to action in Premier League 2 this Friday 18 October with a top-four London derby against Arsenal at Aldershot. The game, which kicks off at 7pm, will be streamed live and free on this website and the 5th Stand App.

Andy Myers’s side are currently top of the PL2 table after the opening seven games of the season and remain unbeaten, with four wins and three draws to date. Their lead is just a point on Derby County in second, while Everton and the Gunners are a further point behind.

The form

Last-minute equalisers have been a theme in two of our past three outings in the league as Myers’s men have left it late to salvage points. Thierno Ballo got the fourth goal of the game deep into stoppage time away at Leicester City to secure a 2-2 draw, while it was Tariq Lamptey who preserved our unbeaten start to the season with an equaliser last time out at Aldershot against Tottenham.

Who could feature?

Lamptey is likely to be involved once again in Hampshire, alongside recent senior side debutants Marc Guehi, Billy Gilmour, Tino Anjorin and Ian Maatsen.

The game could also be an opportunity to build match fitness for those senior players on the comeback from injury layoffs. Antonio Rudiger has already featured twice for the development squad this season and may require the minutes as he recovers from his latest setback. Frank Lampard is likely to provide an update on that in his Friday press conference at Cobham.

How to get tickets

For those supporters wishing to attend the game in person, tickets can be purchased on the door priced at just £3 for adults and £1 for concessions.

How to watch the live stream

The match can be watched for free live on the Fifth Stand App and also this website. Coverage starts at 6.55pm.
