Frank Lampard has been shortlisted for the Premier League Manager of the Month award after guiding the Blues to a 100 per cent winning run in October with three league wins from three.

No other side could boast similar flawless form last month so Lampard will be firmly in with a chance of collecting the award for the first time. We started October with an impressive 4-1 victory away at Southampton as Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount and N’Golo Kante netted first-half goals before Michy Batshuayi rounded off the scoring late on. It was our biggest win at the home of the Saints since 1968 and moved us up to fifth in the table prior to the international break.

As domestic action resumed midway through the month, we welcomed Newcastle United to Stamford Bridge and secured a hard-fought win against the Magpies thanks to Marcos Alonso’s strike midway through the second half.

Our final league encounter came at Turf Moor last weekend, where Lampard’s Chelsea recorded a fourth straight top-flight away win scoring three goals or more in each for the first time in our history. For the boss, it was a fourth consecutive league win for the first time in his own short managerial career.

The plaudits went largely to Christian Pulisic in Lancashire as the American scored a perfect hat-trick to open his Blues account, while Willian also netted after the break to cement our position in the top four.

Jurgen Klopp, Graham Potter, Brendan Rodgers and Dean Smith are also nominated for the October prize, with the winner announced next Friday 8 November. Supporters can vote for Frank here. Voting closes at 6pm on Monday 4 November.
